Keep the Lights On: Utility Bill Assistance

A safe, stable home starts with the basics. We help single parents keep the power running and the water flowing.

No Family Should Be Left in the Dark

For a single parent, a utility shut-off notice is terrifying. It means no heat for the children in winter, no lights for homework, and no water for cooking or bathing.

We understand that when you are managing a household on one income, an unexpectedly high heating bill or a water leak can force impossible choices between food and utilities.

"The Tolú Foundation was born from lived experience. We know the stress of seeing that red 'Disconnect Notice' in the mail. We are here to ensure your home remains a safe haven."

A Heartbreaking Decision

Recently, the demand from single-parent families needing emergency support has surged far beyond our current resources. Because of this, we have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily pause accepting new requests for help.

We cannot do this alone. We urgently need funding and material donations to reopen our doors to those in crisis. Every little bit helps.
